FAQs
What routers is the Siren compatible with?
Any router with external cellular antenna ports. Ours, theirs, even your cousin’s 2015 basement builds as long as it supports 4G/5G and has SMA ports (like CAT 18 or higher), you’re good. SIREN comes in two versions: a 2:1 lead and a 4:1 lead. Just match it to the number of LTE antenna ports your router has - like the Katalyst SPARK (4:1). Standard SMA connectors included.
What's the difference between 2-1 and 4-1 Siren antennas?
2-1 has two leads (MIMO 2x2), 4-1 has four (MIMO 4x4). More ports = more data channels = better performance. Match it to the number of external antenna ports on your router.
Which Siren Antenna do I need for my cellular router?
Count your cellular antenna ports. If your router has 4 LTE/5G ports like the Katalyst SPARK, go with the 4:1 SIREN. If it only has 2 LTE/5G ports like the KADET, go 2:1. Skip the ports labeled “Wi-Fi” - those aren’t for cellular.
Want to install it outside? Go with the SIREN KIT version (comes with a J-Mount and 30ft of cabling).
Options:
– 2:1 or 4:1 SIREN (Antenna only)
– 2:1 or 4:1 SIREN KIT (Antenna + Outdoor installation hardware)
What's included in the antenna-only option?
Just the Siren antenna and cables. No mount, no long install cable. Perfect for indoor setups or if you already have your own mounting gear.
How long is the cabling in the outdoor install KIT?
The antenna, a 3-foot J-Mount pole, and 30 feet of outdoor-rated coaxial cable per lead. Everything you need for a clean rooftop, pole, or exterior wall install. You can purchase longer cabling as needed.
Will the Siren help if I have bad reception indoors?
Yep. If you’re using a cellular router and getting garbage signal, Siren helps pull in stronger LTE/5G signal from outside.
How much signal gain does it add?
Up to 7 dBi per antenna lead. That means better speeds, fewer dropouts, and less “why the hell won’t this load” rage. Results vary depending on tower proximity, interference, install quality, obstructions, and carrier signal in your area.
Is this for indoor or outdoor use?
Both. It’s IP67 weather-resistant, which is tech-speak for “it’ll survive rain, snow, heat, and bird poop.” For outdoor use, get the KIT version so you have the mount and extra-long cable.
Can I install it on an RV or trailer?
Absolutely. If you’re off-grid, on the move, or living that remote life, this antenna can go wherever you can bolt a mount. Just make sure you secure the cabling and mount it to something solid.
Do I need a tech to install it?
Not unless you want to mount it on your roof, with cabling needed throughout your building. Most users can DIY it in under 20 minutes.
What’s the warranty?
Siren is backed by a 1-year limited warranty. All returns and warranty claims must be handled through the reseller you purchased from.
